FirstHome Prep ("the App", "we", "us") is operated as a personal project. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects and how it is used.

Summary

FirstHome Prep is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate any server that collects or stores your personal data.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your name, email address, or any account details (the App has no login or account system)
• Your onboarding answers, lesson progress, quiz results, badges, streaks, or saved properties — this data is stored only in the App's local storage on your own device, using Apple's on-device SwiftData framework
• Photos you attach to a saved property — these stay on your device only and are never uploaded anywhere
• Analytics, advertising identifiers, or usage tracking data
• Documents you attach to a saved property, your survey notes, area research notes, or listing links you paste — these stay on your device only
• Your device location (the App does not ask for or use your location)

If you delete the App, all of this locally stored data is permanently deleted along with it, since it never leaves your device.

Photos

If you choose to attach photos to a saved property using the Photos picker, those photos are copied into the App's local, on-device storage only. The App never uploads, transmits, or shares these photos with us or anyone else.

Maps, Listing Links and Reminders

If you choose to pin a property on the map, the App sends the property's address to Apple's mapping service so it can find the location. This happens only when you save a property or tap "Pin on map", and the address is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive, store or share that address.

If you paste a Rightmove, Zoopla or similar link, it is stored only on your device and is opened in your browser only when you tap it. The area research checklist works the same way: its links to official websites (for example flood, broadband, crime and school information) simply open in your browser when you tap them, and the App does not send those websites any information about you or your saved properties.

If you add key dates to a property, the App can send you reminders. These are scheduled on your phone using Apple's local notifications. The dates are stored only on your device and are not sent to us or anyone else.

If you share a property summary (PDF) or a note to a seller, it is created on your device and shared only through the standard iOS share sheet to wherever you choose. The App does not upload it.
